“I am a woman with a lifelong calling to serve vulnerable communities. Although my initial academic path led me to obtain a degree in Theology, I have spent over 20 years working as a volunteer in underserved areas, offering spiritual and social support. Throughout these years, I have also carried the responsibility of supporting my mother, great-aunt, and sister all of whom face health conditions that prevent them from working. Due to financial and family obligations, I was unable to pursue a degree in Medicine earlier in life. Instead, I chose to study more affordable disciplines while remaining committed to my goal of becoming a physician. Now, after years of perseverance, I am finally in position to begin medical studies at a certified institution in my home country.” More information about Angelica: https://www.i-step-up.com/what-we-do/students/angelica-guerrero/?lang=en
